Differences Evaluation among Three Global Remote Sensing SDL Products

چکیده

At present, a variety of global remote sensing surface downwelling longwave radiation (SDL) products are used for atmospheric science research; however, there few studies on the quantitative evaluation differences among different SDL products. In order to evaluate quantitatively, we have selected three commonly products—Clouds and Earth’s Radiant Energy System-Synoptic Radiative Fluxes Clouds (CERES-SYN), European Centre Medium Range Weather Forecasts-Surface Radiation Budget (ECMWF-SRB) Global Water Exchanges Project-Surface (GEWEX-SRB)—to comprehensively study in this paper. The results show that significant some areas, such as Arctic, Antarctic, Sahara, Tibet Plateau, Greenland. maximum absolute root mean square error (RMSEab) these areas is greater than 20 Wm−2, relative (RMSEre) 20%, minimum bias (MBEab) about Wm−2 −20 respectively, (MBEre) 10% −10%, respectively. Among products, difference between ECMWF-SRB GEWEX-SRB most significant. addition, paper also analyzed based aspects. Firstly, seasonality, months may vary greatly. However, not sensitive years. Secondly, cloud-forcing radiative fluxes (CFRFs) which an important factor affecting Finally, process converting high temporal resolution into monthly data processing affects

Suitability Evaluation for Products Generation from Multisource Remote Sensing Data

With the arrival of the big data era in Earth observation, the remote sensing communities have accumulated a large amount of invaluable and irreplaceable data for global monitoring. These massive remote sensing data have enabled large-area and long-term series Earth observation, and have, in particular, made standard, automated product generation more popular. However, there is more than one ty...

Global Geoportal for Remote Sensing Images Centers

The objective of this work is to propose a geoportal capable of integrating the catalogues of the different images centers without these centers having to migrate their current computational architectures to a specific architecture. In this work, the mediator architecture is considered a flexible and efficient way of building a global geoportal for remote sensing images. The three components of...

Global operational remote sensing andmodelling of ocean

An overview is given of current operational methods for retrieving two-dimensional ocean wave spectra from near real-time ERS-1 SAR wave mode (SWM) imagette spectra. The SWM data quality and performance of the WASAR algorithm are assessed. Sensitivity analyses and validation studies are performed using two-dimensional NOAA buoy data as well as TOPEX and ERS-1 altimeter-derived signiicant wave h...

Relevance of Global Remote-sensing Fapar Products to Carbon Flux Estimates

This contribution gives an overview of the Medium Resolution Imaging Spectrometer (MERIS) global land product corresponding to the biophysical variable of the Fraction of Absorbed Photosynthetically Active Radiation (FAPAR). This product can be used in largescale biosphere modeling for better estimating the carbon fluxes since they directly represent the amount of solar energy which serves as a...

The Global Land Surface Satellite (GLASS) Remote Sensing Data Processing System and Products

Using remotely sensed satellite products is the most efficient way to monitor global land, water, and forest resource changes, which are believed to be the main factors for understanding global climate change and its impacts. A reliable remotely sensed product should be retrieved quantitatively through models or statistical methods. However, producing global products requires a complex computin...
